WHO IS DANIEL STITZEL?
Daniel's ventures in the education world started at Stow High School when he took a mentorship class in which he mentored his seventh grade ELA teacher. That experience ignited the fire of wanting to help others grow in their learning, so Daniel attended Bowling Green State University and earned in Bachelor's Degree in Middle Childhood Education (grade 4-9) with a content focuses of Language Arts and Social Studies. Since then, Daniel has taken an abundance of coursework and professional development to state up-to-date on educational policies, trends, and best practices. Recently, Daniel received a Master of Education (MEd) in Learning in Technology from WGU.
Daniel has worked in the Streetsboro City School district in grades five, seven, and eight. Daniel has taught both Social Studies and Language Arts during his 13 year tenure in Streetsboro. In addition to teaching, Daniel has coached cross country and track and field, worked as the middle school athletic faculty manager, been a member of building and district leadership teams, and most recently became the district technology integration coach. As the district technology integration coach, Daniel has the honor of working directly with colleagues daily to help them integrate technology into the great things they are already doing!
On a personal level, Daniel grew up in Stow, Ohio, and currently resides in Rootstown, Ohio. Daniel lives with his high school sweetheart, Ashley, their six-year-old twins Nick and Charlie, and dog Harry.
